Who we are

Horizon Husky Baseball has a rich tradition of not only achieving success on the field but also focusing on the holistic development of its players. The program emphasizes character, integrity, dedication, work ethic, and perseverance. The staff believes that the true measure of a student-athlete’s success lies in the values and skills they carry forward after graduation, rather than just their athletic achievements.

This approach has helped Horizon Husky Baseball produce not only outstanding athletes but also responsible and successful individuals in their communities. It’s a philosophy that ensures the players are well-prepared for life beyond baseball.

Husky Baseball Program Mission Statement and Philosophy

The Husky baseball program is designed to provide a positive and challenging experience both on and off the field. The following bullets are what will make up what the Husky baseball experience attempts to provide each and every student-athlete.

  • Positive atmosphere.

  • Being able to learn and handle adversity.

  • Further develop and enhance each players baseball skills on the field.

  • Teaching the players how to clearly communicate in their daily lives both on and off the field.

  • Learning how to be the best teammate (positive and supportive).

  • Enjoying the process that a season provides. Staying in the moment and enjoying the process and challenges that each day brings.

  • Being able to understand what we have control of and that is our attitude and effort.

  • Developing the proper attributes of class, character, and commitment “Control What You Can Control”.

  • Developing relationships with teammates and the possibility of lifelong friends and relationships.
