Horizon Husky Baseball 2022
42 Years of Success and Tradition

Horizon Husky Baseball prides itself on developing character, integrity, dedication, work ethic, and perseverance in each and every player that comes through the program. It is the view of the staff that a true measure of a student athlete’s success is not in wins and losses, but rather what a young man is able to convey after graduation. While it is not a statistic on the sports page the next day, it may well be the best measure of past, present, and future success.

The Husky Baseball tradition was established in the early years.  The teams of the 80’s were known for their hard work and dedication, producing 4 region championships in the first 5 years of the programs existence.  The teams of the 90’s solidified the winning tradition gaining national recognition having won 6 region titles, 2 state championships, and capping 1996 off with a Husky season record of 32 wins. The new millennium has brought the Huskies nothing but continued success having won 6 region titles and appearing in the title game 6 of 7 years and winning the 5A State Championship in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2019 including a number one in the nation ranking at the end of the 2007 year by one national poll.  In 2003, 2006, and 2009, the Huskies finished the season with as runner-up to the State Championship title.

Overall, the Huskies have captured 20 Region titles, and have won 7 of the 17 (1998-2014) Horizon National tournaments held at Husky Park.

Although 41 years of success and tradition may have brought the program good fortune, championships, and recognition, the real trophies reside with each and every one of the players who have continued on to become outstanding citizens, husbands, and fathers in our communities.
